Hi everyone. Thank you so much to everyone that is reading this blog post, or has read any of my blog posts ever. As the title suggests, at least for now, this is going to be my last blog post and i’m going to close down my blog.
Over the past two years, with college and everything going on, it’s gotten to be way too much to keep up blogging, and i’ve started being wildly inconsistent in posting schedules and quality of my posts. As this trend kept going, I stopped loving blogging as much as I used to. It has lost a lot of its fun, and has been seeming more like a responsibility that i just can’t handle
I’ve absolutely loved maintaining this blog over the years, and getting to have all of the interactions and friendships that I’ve made with you all. I’ll genuinely miss each and every one of you when I leave.
I’m not really sure what to say, except that i’ll be around on twitter still, and that i hope to one day come back, maybe, once I’m less busy in life.
Love you all and wish you the best in life. thank you again for all of your support, it has truly meant a lot,
Today’s post will be drastically different from the entire rest of my blog, because today’s post is about me. Not books, not writing, reading, or authors, but me. I’m not sure why I’m writing this. I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to publish it, but I am feeling particularly brave right now so I have to start writing and see where it goes.
I guess this post has been coming for a while, and pride month sort of forced me to think about it even more than usual. Suddenly, I couldn’t avoid the facts of my own identity online, and this (combined with the fact that school is over and so my alone-time has drastically increased) has led to a lot of inner thought and weird feelings that I can’t avoid but rather would.

Reminder that the 2nd Annual Book Blogger Awards are going on right now!!!!! If you haven’t placed your nominations yet, head over to the rules page and vote! This is our chance to nominate all of your favorite book bloggers and give them the recognition that they deserve (plus, getting nominated might just make someone’s day). Nominations close at the end of the month.
I’m so excited to write this post. quite possibly my favorite part of blogger awards is that it gives me the opportunity to scroll through all of the amazing bloggers that I follow, and remember why I love each and every one of them. The process of choosing one blogger over another is really, really hard, and it took me a long time! But without further ado, I present to you, my nominations for the book blogger awards. Make sure you cast your nominations as well 🙂

Hey everyone!! For those of you that don’t remember, last year I decided to start The Book Blogger Awards, which are exactly what it sounds like– blogger awards exclusively for book bloggers. I was honestly so humbled and amazed by what a big response I got last year (see the winners here) and so I decided to continue the tradition and host the 2nd Annual Awards!!
I can’t wait to see who you all nominate, and find tons of new book bloggers to add to my reading list 🙂 Just read the rules below and get started!

I’ve already messed up posting 3x a week sooo…. we’re back to Fridays!! I tried my best guys but the year is just so busy I think once a week is all I can manage. Today, I’m going to be spreading the Christmas Spirit for just a little bit longer by celebrating some amazing bloggers from around the blogosphere!

and probably not #relatable
but I’m terrified of the library.
Like, I won’t go alone and I’d rather not go at all. I realize that makes me sound super privileged and awful, but there’s a good reason, so bare with me.

Last month while I was on hiatus I went to the Boston Teen Author Festival (which is actually in Cambridge, but we won’t be too picky) and it was SUPER FUN!! It was my first bookish event that I’ve ever actually gone to, and so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew this one wasn’t exactly “huge” so it seemed like a good place to start, and overall it was a positive experience.
The day was supposed to start at 9:30, but I had basketball practice so I got there late (ugh) and wasn’t able to make the first two panels of the day. It also meant that I didn’t get a goodie bag of free stuff *sob* since by 1:00 they had already run out of everything (or else I was just looking in the wrong spot, who knows).

Hey guys!! I’m supposed to be back from my hiatus today, but to be honest I don’t think it’s actually going to be possible to get back into blogging full time. I’m really upset about that (like really really upset) but I don’t know how I would manage to balance school and blogging. At all. I am so impressed by all of you that do it, and maybe someday I’ll be able to manage, but that day is not today. Continue reading “Summary of Summer (aka a Summer-y)”
hi everyone! This is a really hard post for me to write….
As most of you know, I just got to college for my freshman year. Right now, I’m going through orientation stuff and life is crazy, and I’m not sure when it’s going to get any easier to balance.
Because of that, I’m taking a hiatus from blogging. I’m not sure when I’ll be back. I REALLY want to spend more time here, and I love blogging and all of you, but as of right now it’s impossible to find the time.
I hope to be back soon (and by the end of September at the latest) but when I do I’ll probably only post 2x/week from now on, since the 3 has obviously been a struggle for a while now. I’m so so sorry guys!
Best of luck with all of your blogging and see you in a month or so!!
